The installation „mini mountain memory“ is located at the Basel / Weil am Rhein customs station (motorway). Located next to truck handling, it offers truck drivers and customs staff the opportunity to take a break. As the title „mini mountain memory“ suggests, the installation plays with the memory of the Swiss Alps just crossed by truck drivers. However, the memory here does not become a replica, but an abstract landscape. Accessible lawn and ground areas lead into the landscape and build up into two polygonal, mountain-like formations. In the middle of the strictly geometrical model-like landscape, benches are integrated and a glass wall that provides transparent protection. The individual elements of the installation form an open space, which through its green space with the trees creates a lively antipole to the architecture and bustle of the customs facility.
